This may not work but it's worth a shot. Hold down the power button for eight to ten seconds to make sure it's switched off. Then remove the battery then hold the power button down for a while to use up what we call "flea power".

Hopefully it will start up in a better frame of mind. If it doesn't, do you have an CDs or DVDs that came with the machine that might have a Windows system on it?
