my hp laptop works on hdmi but not on laptop ?

screen not comeing on laptop but works on hdmi wot wrong with it or wot could be wrong with it ?

Screen could be broken , which would require repair in a shop to put in a new one. Find which function key cycles between displays, get it running with HDMI, and cycle. It could be as simple as the HDMI being selected to the machine stays with it. Or have you done that?
