My Laptop hang after some time

Good day Team,

My Laptop hangs some time after restart and then i have to restart my lap by holding power button (If i use shutdown from start button it shows shunting down but it doesn't shutdown). After restating it woks properly and then again same happens. While the lap in hang players n files doesn't open, but i can open my computer n all. Also network gets disconnected. It shows wifi is connected in taskbar but doesn't connect when browser is opened.

Pls help

Toshiba Satellite C665-P5010
OS : Win 7
RAM : 4gb
Processor intel pentium

Hi there Sreenathtf,

It may be a good idea to measure your system's temps. There are some software tools that can do that. Have you cleaned the dust out of the laptop? In case you haven't, it may be a good idea to do so.
Another thing you can try is to boot up in safe mode and see whether the issue persists.

can also boot into the bios to see if still hangs or not plus might be able to see the cpu temp if the bios has that capability.
