Question my laptop shut down after 90 seconds after startup!

Where did you get it?

I had this issue with an old Dell Inspiron 17r Special Edition 7720, and it's because the heatsink on the NVIDIA graphics chip was not seated correctly.

Put the laptop in the freezer or refrigerator for a half-hour and try booting it when cold (this may temporarily affect the display as the crystals in the LCD freeze), is there any change to the 90 second time limit? If so, something is overheating. If not, then there is some other issue.

it is always the same time! after about 88 second shut down!

i put it in the freezer for more than 30 minutes and same thing!

Have you tried using it with only the power adapter and not the battery and vice versa?

Download HWInfo during the time you have while it's running and monitor the temperatures. If something gets to 90c+ then it's shutting off to protect itself

yes, with the stopwatch on smartphone

Download HWInfo during the time you have while it's running and monitor the temperatures. If something gets to 90c+ then it's shutting off to protect itself

i did it , i have short period after start windows and install the HWinfo but its in the range of 65 C not reached 90c

i did , they asked me to ship the laptop to them , they can't figure it out remotely.

but I'm oversea and it is costly to ship it to USA, and maybe they can't fix it

i bought it from amazon USA.

i will ask them to send me the HEX file of the bios , maybe it is infected with virus or corrupted

Bios are hard to corrupt now, most virus don't even bother
