My lenovo switches on to the screensaver but after that nothing happens. I can move the arrow but nothing appears for me to sign in

So then it isn't actually 'off' when you are doing this, but perhaps sleep or hibernate?

Try turning it off, no power at all, and then start it up and see if this also happens.
