My Lenovo went to sleep and won't come back on

My laptop was on I went out and now it won't wake up. All the lights are on under the keys

Research how to do a 'static-discharge' on your specific unit.

This is usually accomplished by removing the battery and holding down the power button for 60 seconds, but many laptops do not have removable batteries and require a button press sequence or similar.

Does Ctrl-Alt-Del wake it up? If not, holding down the power button for >4 seconds should cause it to shut off.
