My lock screen is password protected and I can't change it

I password protected my tablet and I want to undo it and choose a different method to lock it, but am unable to,

Just enter the correct password. If you set it, then that shouldn't be a problem. After that, go back to the settings menu where you chose the unlock method and select a different one.
