My Mouse Doesn't Work on my Laptop!! (HELP ASAP!!)

So I thought that my mouse was broken since it stopped working since three days ago so I bought a new one. When I plugged it in, it didn't work again. So I tried the new mouse on my pc and it work. I also tried my old mouse and it also worked. I tried plugging in a usb device into my usb port to check if the usb port was broken but it worked. So three of the usb ports of my laptop does not recognize a mouse! (the red light turns on) HELP!!!

The ports you are trying to us are they 2.0 or 3.0 and the mouse which is it?
