I have an Alcatel U3 and until yesterday it was ok. now it keeps turning wifi off. Its my daughters first phone and she only has wifi, so it's really annoying and she can't use her phone.

Solution
Sounds like something was installed or downloaded that is messing with the phone. Try putting it in "Safe Mode" (instructions below) and see if WiFi turns off while in there. Granted you can't use most apps in that mode, but you are using it just to test he WiFi. If it stays on, then the problem is something on the device. Bad app, malware, virus, spyware, etc. Which will then have to be found and removed to fix the problem.

You may also want to check the modem/router that it is connecting to and make sure that it isn't having any issues or that the ISP isn't causing the service to go out off and on. It happens a lot and some devices are way more sensitive to this than others are. If that is the case, try resetting (turning off and...

It happens a lot and some devices are way more sensitive to this than others are. If that is the case, try resetting (turning off and back on, be patient it takes a while to get working again) the modem/router or contact the ISP about the issue.

If, however, it won't stay on, even in "Safe Mode" and the modem/router or ISP aren't the problem, then the phone may either need to be "Hard Reset" or looked at by the manufacturer (if still under warranty) or by a local tech (if not under warranty).

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the phone.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.
