Solved! My projector wont play sound the hdmi from Direct tv box

Does the projector have a speaker built in? Is the volume turned up?
Check the menu of the DTV box. Make sure it is set to output audio via HDMI. Try setting the audio type to stereo. Does the DTV box have the volume turned up?
