I would suggest you call your cable TV provider. They should be able to help get it working or send a technician if they can't do it on the phone. That's what you overpay them for every month.
your request makes no sense,. the internet and DVR abilities have nothing to do with each other,as they are 2 different things.
dvr=cable=TV, internet is access through a router, did you guys get an internet plan ?
