My Samsung tv usb port is 2.0 how do I change it to 3.0 because my hard drive is not working

Solution
Does the TV's manual says you can do this?

USB ports in a TV is not universal use, some are used for diagnostics only, some you can use flash drive but no hard drive, and on top of that, many times it can only accept certain format, like FAT32 only blah-blah. Manual is Godspel.

Whether USB2 or 3 is not your problem.

1. You can't just change the port from 2.0 to 3.0. That is hardware, not a software clicky upgrade

2. USB 2.0 and 3.0 are mostly forwards and backwards compatible.

3. What type of hard drive is this? What does your user manual say about hard drives vs USB sticks?
