My subwoofer is distorting the sound, what can I do to fix it?

When people talk my subwoofer distorts the sound, how can I fix this problem?

Make sure the crossover is set properly, that's all you can do.

If you are using the sub in a home theater system then it should not receive voices. Check the hookup and speaker settings on the receiver.
