My SW1000XG won't show up actively as a record source in the mixer.

I've had this card for 4 months and tried it in 4 different hardware enviroments. I'v not once got it to provide a source to CoolEdit or any other recorder.

The sounds come out of the gold rca's perfectly but something is very wrong internally, or am I too stupid to have worked out what th problem is?

You could try Hubi's loopback device as recommended by Yamaha.
