My Toshiba laptop does not running

I have a Toshiba laptop with windows 8 ,, yesterday it shut down itself and when i tried to run it the laptop stay on the black screen with Toshiba name on it .

I tried to re-install win 8 but the stays in the same screen << if u can help me and tell me what is the problem with the laptop
