Solved! My tv flashes red light only but is not getting started with the remote control

My videocon tv was running yesterday but from today it is not getting started with remotecontrol

You have probably already done this, but maybe check the batteries in the remote.

Will it turn on using the power button on the tv itself?

Are you using the actual tv remote or a cable box remote?
If using a cable box remote, will the tv remote work.
And I have had times with my cable box remote that I have had to re-enter the code. I do not know why..
