I'm looking for a 17.3 inch screen, gtx 1070. What I'm looking for the most is the best cooling, and best screen for the price... $1999 or less thanks to all who read this.

Solution

Clevo does make the best barebones chasis. Sager is the best brand based on the Clevo.

https://www.sagernotebook.com

The NP8177 is 17.3", Gsync IPS 1080p screen, Geforce 1070, SSD.
The NP9173 is just about $2200 and has the same specs as above but has a 120Hz screen.

The Sagers in this price range are all high end with mechanical illuminated keyboards, top end microphone, speakers, webcam. Thunderbolt. 7th Generation I7 CPUs. Best cooling on the market. Best support. They are great.

If you want something available in stores or online retailers...

Tomorrow? Why not just walkin Best Buy or your eletronic store? Unless you mean you need it ordered.

Every one "best" are different. But anything with a i5/i7 should be fine. Most makers will include 16GB, 256GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive. So at this point, it's all about warranty and price.

Well I don't have to buy it tomorrow but I get paid and I've waited over a month because i'm way overthinking about these laptops and still can't decide... I was looking at this laptop and hear it has great cooling and a good screen but i've never heard of this brand.. but it has great reviews https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-P670RP6-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01MS7NTNZ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01KZ6BMHI&pd_rd_r=CZT05BQMF17W0QBF7GG5&pd_rd_w=CDOg5&pd_rd_wg=9ppDU&refRID=CZT05BQMF17W0QBF7GG5&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=3918-20&linkId=9f8beb580297a9062192be02de7ef6d7

That is a brand rebranding a clevo barebones laptop. Also every screenshot is from a different model ranging from laptops way back in 2012 to 2016. Don't get it as this seems sketchy. Also a lot of the reviews are for other models like the p650 or older ones like my clevo with a 970m. Also some user posted picture of a completely different looking laptop from the same brand.

If you want something available in stores or online retailers like Newegg, and not direct order, then MSI and Asus are great. MSI gets really good reviews and is regarded as best of the non-clevo laptops.

That is a nice MSI. All the right specs + 120Hz. Also note the 1080p screen. Don't make the mistake of going 4k on a laptop. They are quite common but with such a small screen it's not required, plus it'll tax your video card bigtime gaming and you'll get very low FPS. Some people buy 4k and game at 1080p to get the FPS but you get major problems.

MSI doesn't spec IPS or Gsync on that screen. A search reveals a debate as to whether or not it supports gsync or not. Many say it does, some say it doesn't.

I like Sager. Much better website and clear information. They state IPS screen with GSync. No guessing. The MSI is nice and uses steelseries for the keyboard. The MSI will be a bit cheaper as Sager is a premium Clevo product.

as far as i can tell it does support GSync, it says so on both xoticpc and amazon
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT72VR-DOMINATOR-PRO-450-Kabylake/dp/B01N5ME31E#productDetails
(check the header and the Product description: MSI GT72VR DOMINATOR PRO-450 (Kabylake), Intel Core i7-7700HQ (2.8GHz - 3.8GHz) Processor, 17.3" 120Hz G-Sync Full HD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Wide View Angle Display....)

anyway, in ASUS case there's not even the slightest ambiguity as it's clearly stated to have GSync.

regards

Yeah I'd second the MSI - one of the best you can get right now. I'd also recommend the EVGA SC17: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834099004_-Product

There's also the Gigabyte Aorus: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834725033
