Need a good laptop under $1000

Hello!

I need a good laptop for under 1k. Below are the requirements.

-Any screen size (the smaller the better)

-Long battery life (optional)

-Well built (I like a solid feel)

-Weight does not matter

-I want a sleek, professional look

-I don't care about thickness, as long as it's not a gaming laptop

-Please don't suggest Lenovo, they're good but I feel like trying a different brand

-Big hard drive (500GB or more, please)

Below is what I will use it for.

-Call of Duty Black Ops II at medium/high settings

-Minecraft with a metric duckload of mods at high settings. *Metric duckload not to be confused with imperial duckload*

-Google Sketchup

-Netflix and YouTube at 1080p with no hiccups

-Heavy internet usage

Resolution? I assume you will take any, so look at HP's ProBook 455 G1. Quite thin and light, as well as good battery life. For ~800, you can get AMD Radeon 8750m with 2GB DDR3, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and an A10-5750m. The APU and the GPU use CrossFire, so while it is technically a business laptop, still good for games. Solid keyboard and touchpad/palmrest area, just look out for the top of the lid: has some flex, so when you put weight on the top (E.G. Storing it in a bag all day, going from class to class) it gets keyboard marks in the screen.

Did you check out the one I linked?
I was at the store looking at computers (wanted to see 720p vs 1080p) literally 10 minutes ago and that laptop was on display. It's a bit too heavy/thick for my preference (I'm trying to find a thin ultrabook) but if I were to get a laptop, that would definitely be my choice without a doubt. It comes with a little sub for the audio (although the audio on the laptop is absolutely amazing already), 1080p, has a cd drive where you can swap out and put a SSD in, 1TB, GeForce GT 750M, 8gb memory...
I actually might drop the thin preference and get it myself. It seems to be the best in it's budget range right now.
If not, you can maybe look at my two other choices I have in mind. I'm a college student who is looking for something for school and steam gaming but also meets the ultrabook standards (really hard to find a laptop for this).

The thing is with the Y510p, the battery life isn't the best (Absolute turd-in-a-cup) as it lasts only two-ish hours, most last at least four.

The Y510p is one of the best laptops in it's budget range. The only thing is that it's a bit thick and heavy, and not necessarily close to being thin.
But when it comes to finding a gaming laptop under $1000, that is your best choice.
