Looking for a decent laptop, won't be doing a lot with it but basic things and watching shows and what not.

However I do want to play league of legends, at decent settings (at least mid range, I believe it's medium)
Also not looking to spend alot as its a short time solution

I am looking at an Asus laptop
specs
Cpu: Amd a8 4500m quad core at 1.9 ghz
gpu: Amd 7640g
500 GB HDD
6 GB Ram

Thanks in advance.

Well kind of in a weird spot. I can't order online Bc I don't have an address. And no I don't live under a bridge, I'm at a hospital and will be for a long while. And my house is 4hrs away. So I'm restrained to what's here and looking for under or around 800$ give or taks.

You can probably find a Lenovo Y40 around somewhere for about 750-800 dollars

Wow. Hope that you feel better!

Uhm. Am no tech expert, sorry, but have many relatives who've worked at hospitals. So my advice is: please ask to speak with the Patient Advocate and/or Patient Care Services Director where you are. Maybe the hospital can loan you a computer. Perhaps there are library services available for patients which could include access to computers and internet - but be careful, have heard that hospitals do sometimes charge for this. Depends on location. No doubt rules will vary from place to place. Also some hospitals have more resources than others.

If your heart is set on getting a new computer or if other options not available then at least maybe the hospital staff can arrange to order online for you and get the product shipped to your room. I've heard of flowers and other presents getting delivered to the patients in their rooms... So I honestly can't imagine that having a laptop mailed to you there would be disallowed.

EDIT: Unless for some reason the hospital staff was convinced that you watching shows on the laptop might interfere with the normal functioning of their medical equipment. So... Yeah. Talk to the staff where you are. Would be no point in you buying a computer if the hospital has a policy that bans all such devices from the room.

Another thought though: If you are here, in this online forum... Then you already have internet from the hospital, right? So what are you using now? And why won't that work for your other online needs? You don't have to tell me but please know the answer for your own sake.

Hospital bills can be scary, that's all. So it's probably worth asking questions to see if you can avoid this expense or at least reduce it.

Best regards!

Thankyou for your concern. I'm actually not the one being treated. My 3 yr old son is after he went into cardiac arrest. The insurance is covering everything pretty much. So I'm good with that, for now at least. And I'm currently using my galaxy s5. Was looking for a laptop to have during the countless hrs here, over many mths. So just trying to find something to get me by.

Wow. That's beyond hard. Can't imagine. Healing thoughts to you and the child! Hope you have good support. Glad the insurance is working for you.

As for the computer: Due to your circumstances... Ask if your hospital has a McDonald House or anything like it somewhere on the hospital campus. If the regular Patient Advocate and Patient Care Services staff can't hook you up with at least a computer on loan, the Charity staff probably can.

Also: If you're gone from home a lot then maybe by now you already have some trusted friend bringing in your mail? If so then why not just order online and ask that friend to please deliver the package to you? Having the online options should help you to find something nice and more affordable.

I would say that you could find a laptop with the same specs for about 329.99 dollars and more ram (8gb)and more hard drive space(750gb+).
And best wishes for your son.
