Need advice regarding the purchase of a laptop

1. What is your budget?

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15"-16"

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Not that important, but bigger is better :D

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable

5. How much battery life do you need?
2 hours would be minimum, but I would prefer 3.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop?
I will play games like Hearts of Iron 2, Europe Universalis 3, Civilization IV and Football Manager.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop?
I will be using it for web-surfing, office aplications, listening to music, movies and some ocasional photo processing.

8. How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
I cold probably live with a 160 Gb HDD but I would prefer something over 300 Gb.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
About 3 years.

11. If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.
I want as much RAM as possible, 4 Gb would be recomended.

13. What country do you live in?
Romania, But I'm buying it from the U.S.

Hi Sleepy One, welcome! #4 is moot, since a 15" laptop definitely falls under the "desktop replacement" category. I see Dell and Sager meeting your needs. For Dell, you can get a Studio 15 (starts at $649), then upgrade the card to that 256MB ATI.

Sager offers more value. Get the NP7682. You'll have to spend a bit more at $769, but that gets a much more powerful video card.
