Need Help can't load OS on Laptop.

I have a Think pad laptop and it's saying it's missing the NTLDR file. I put the OS cd in to reboot it but it keep saying no hard drive can be found and insert the recovery cd. I have used the computer the prier week fine with no problem. Can somebody help me with my Problem.

Search for 'ntldr is missing' using google or yahoo, there are multiple sites that address this issue.
