Hey everybody. Since my current laptop is almost 3 years old and kind of breaking down I decided to purchase a new one. After some thorough research I basically narrowed my choice to two laptops. I was hoping you could help me out since I'm not exactly an expert.

What I will use it for is mostly watching movies and playing games. I don't need to play games at an ultra high setting just some decent graphics. Games like The Sims 3, Diablo 3 and Anno 2070. Another important thing is that I rarely use it on a table or desk but mostly on my lap with a small laptop table so I'm wondering if a 17 inch screen is too big. Finally I'm wondering about the resolution, obviously higher is better but is the difference really that noticeable?

These are the two choices:

HP PAVILION G7-2005SD
17.3 inch
Intel Core i7 (quad core clock rate: 2100MHz)
6GB RAM
500GB Harddisk
AMD Radeon HD 7670M
Resolution 1600 x 900
Price $955

TOSHIBA SATELLITE L855-123
15.6 inch
Intel Core I 5(dual core clock rate: 2500MHz)
6GB RAM
500GB Harddisk
AMD Radeon HD 7670M
Resolution 1366 x 768
Price $892

This is a website with a comparison of the two: http://www.laptopshop.nl/vergelijken/200000/210047/
Note that the website is in dutch so you may not understand some things.

That about sums it up. Thanks in advance for your help!

Definitely take the HP PAVILION G7-2005SD. Better resolution, MUCH better processor, and a larger display.

But keep in mind 17" is a lot larger and heavier than 15.6".
