Would you suggest getting one of those or waiting for the "V7-482PG-9884-U"?

Thanks for the reply btw, the other post had a really good list of laptops that fit my criteria.

Okay, I will go with the Acer V7-482PG-9884-U when it comes out. I was just wondering if anything even compares to it considering it is going to cost about 1300.
This is the link for the specs of the laptop: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2040689/acer-bets-big-on-haswell-announces-more-than-20-products-based-on-intel-s-4th-generation-core-proce.html
from the link it says: "The Acer Aspire V7-482PG-9884-U Ultrabook will feature an Intel Core i7-4500U processor, 12GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive. A discrete graphics processor—Nvidia’s GeForce GT750M, with a dedicated 4GB frame buffer—will drive its 14-inch IPS panel. This $1300 model will be available only at Acer.com."
Thank you for your advice btw, its odd that no one else has suggestions.

No problem. If you want to know more about how well the computer preforms at gaming, look up the GTX 660. The GTX 660 is the closest you can get to a GT8750M, you will not find much benchmarks for these specialized laptop GPUs.

As long as it is faster than my gateway NV57H laptop then i'm happy. My laptop has a core i7 2670, nvidia gt540m, 8gb ram, and 1000gb hard drive. The reason why I am replacing this laptop is because it has overheating issues, where the gpu (even after underclocking) throttles when it reaches high temperatures (95 degrees Celsius to be exact) and then my FPS drops from 50 to about 3. The pictures show the acer laptop I found to have 2 exhaust vents (one for the CPU and one for the GPU) so I really hope this laptop won't have the same heat issues (also I think the new haswell should heat up less).
