Need help hooking up Joey to computer monitor

I have a Hopper box(Joey) in my master. I hooked up a computer monitor to it, but I have no sound (duh).Is there any way to get this to work or just buy a new TV.

What cable are you using to connect the monitor? Also, does the monitor have speakers?

Using a hdmi cord and monitor has no internal speakers

Buy a soundbar with an hdmi passthrough

I have PS4 hooked up to hdmi and yes it has speakers and works. Joey has the three color wires why. Red yellow. No hook up on monitor fir them.
