Need Help Re Upgrading

I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro and currently it has OS X Lion 10.7.5. Trued upgrading to El Captian and it won't let me. Is there an available and compatible upgrade I can get or just stay with what I have? Thank you.

What's the issue. You ought to be able to upgrade to macOS Sierra. Just download it from the App Store.

Thank you, Grimakis. I just wasn't sure what the next upgrade would be since I'm unable to upgrade to El Capitan. I'll try the Sierra.

Sure thing. It's compatible with your laptop as far as I know. Personally I upgraded both my 2010 iMac and late 2011 MBP last month.
