Need help with Laptop gaming

well i have a HP pavilion 15 and it runs some games pretty well, but when it comes down to CS:GO it runs terribly. The best fps i can squeeze out of the PC is 30-40 fps. I play on the lowest settings possible + resolution.

HP Hexa-Core 2.0GHz
12 GB ram
AMD Radeon R5 m240 8gb

Pavilions are not the best gaming machines. That is probably the best you are going to get out of it. But you can check to see if there is a process running in the background using up resources.
