Need help with my new tv

i had a samsung hdtv 1080I model # hcn653wxixaa given to me and when i turn it on the picture is really dark and the colors are blurry not connecting. Any idea what it could be??? I was thinking its the bulb???

Its either the movie that your watching or the tv itself.
If its the tv itself there should be some settings for it such at dynamic,movie,bright,etc.

Yeah the bulb is probably worn out. That model is pretty old so I'm guessing that the bulb hasn't been replaced since it was first purchased. If the TV was given to you, do you know if it was working properly beforehand? Often times something can go loose when you move the TV from one place to another. I'd get it checked out but given its age and current state, I don't know whether it would be worth it or not. Up to you though.
