I am looking to purchase a laptop for my son in school. Lenovo Ideapad 320 15 Touchscreen Laptop - Intel Core i3 from costco. any thoughts on this one?
... then it's a decent enough machine. The 7th gen i3 CPU and HD 620 IGP should handle standard productivity and web-surfing without problems. And 6GBs of RAM will allow for decent multi-tasking. However, if you really want 'bang for your buck', then this HP offers 12GBs of RAM with the same CPU/IGP combo: https/www.costco.com/HP-15-bs033cl-Touchscreen-Laptop---Intel-Core-i3.product.100358989.html
To be perfectly honest, I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference to your son's daily schedule, but it's the same price.
I'll bump this because Im also looking for a school PC. Ideally a good Mobo and CPU and leave RAM and SSD for later upgrade. I'm stuck between Costco and the extra warranty or Dell with their payment plan.
