I am looking for a laptop that I can use at school for notes and doing non-intensive work. I have my desktop for that. I will just be doing web browsing and notes and word processing. I would like if the screen is 1080p for Netflix, has an ssd it doesn't need to be huge because if it can have an sd slot I can use it for expandable storage, but I still need the performance to be snappy with multiple programs running. And no gaming other than flash, that is what my pc is for. I was looking at chromebooks, but I have no idea which to get, I would love a 15 inch screen but if needed to stay in budget 13 or so would work.

This one has an SSD and decent specs:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834259197
does not have 15" screen and does not have 1080p resolution

Could not find any laptops (that I would recommend) with a 1080 resolution screen in your price range.
They exist but have systems specs that I cannot recommend.

Your best new selection other than the G50 is going to be found here:http://us-store.acer.com/offers/clearance-sale?dir=asc&order=price
There are a couple with 1600x900 under $300 with 17.3" screens and Dvd drives with AMD or Intel entry level 4 cores. One with a A6-6310 and a dedicated M240 GPU for $280. One with a touchscreen. Anyway, about 10 to choose from at that price. I would say get one of these or the G50 and slap an extra 4gb stick of ram, or an 8gb stick of 1866mhz in the case of the ones with the A8's and that's about as much as you're gonna get for $300. Just get rid of the bloatware, update drivers through manufacture website ,and you'll be okay.
