My laptop is showing “Scanning and repairing drive(\\?\Volume{d8089648-0664-403f-a8a7-f7cf20431787}): 100% complete .... but it’s been loading for hours

Solution
Try a reboot and have fast hands to skip drive check on startup. If that gets you into windows go to my PC, right click on drive "C" and click properties, then click the tools tab, then in error checking click the box marked "Check" error checking. This way it will perform the same function at the startup drive check but you have a little more control over it. It should also fix any drive errors you may have.
