Need Opinons on Buying a Netbook

I did a search but couldn't find anyone looking for exactly what I was looking for.
1_What is your budget?
$500
2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
I want a nice sized screen 10+ inches and I have big hands so the mini keyboards is a big NO
3_What screen resolution do you want?
I want to be able to watch 720p videos if needed
4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

5_How much battery life do you need?
I have classes all day sometimes + work I need something that can do 6+ hours without needing to charge.
6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I would only expect to play like old things like Nintendo/SNES games.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)I am a computer Science majors So I do a lot of Programming/Word processing this is the part I'm not sure if a netbook can handle for me. But that's why i stress the need for a comfortable keyboard.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
I have big rig desktop with 1TB HDD so anything that I don't immediately need will go there so HDD space is not an issue.

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.
I saw some good places Like Newegg and Amazon please suggest more if you know others.
10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? So 4+ years

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. I just don't like Dell everything else is fine.

13_What country do you live in?
USA

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.I plan on using this for school and also when I move to Japan to keep up with friends and family [Web cam would be very nice]

I've been thinking about getting something like this. I'm planning on spending a little more, but in the <$5000 range this one seems nice.

actually that isn't too crazy at all considering net books with with the 6 cell battery can do about eight hours.. I wouldn't ask for something thats impossible. and actually I've done my own research since it seems people will just make nonconstructive posts.

I think you should wait a bit and wait for Asus Eee PC 1201n. Dual-core Atom n330, Nvdia Ion, 2gb ram.

The most expensive netbook out there with intel atom inside or intel atom inside but pass on as core 2 etc are the crap apple computer they call as mac air and mac pro.

So if you're a willing jack ass andwant to belongto steve jobs cult fanatics, buy an apple computer instead and waste you're had earned money for nothing but crap made in taiwan by some generic backyard shop using discarded and surplus parts from pc makers and then sticked on with ultimate lies by steve jobs.

Well no wonder the american economy can't get through because, for onethere issteve jobs whocontinue to propagate the ultimate liesandepithomized the dark side of americans.

Well if only steve jobs will sell mac pro for fifty dollars, smith and wesson pistols for ten dollars, cadillac for ten thousand dollars, and ford cars for five thousand dollars, the american economy would have long recovered.
