January 24, 2025 - I couldn't finish watching American Primeval past the middle part of episode three. I think that good writing means that people most often in real life have to react to things and circumstances that they couldn't possibly have foreseen. Sure.. in real life, people do make stupid, or unwise choices even when confronted with evidence that could help them make better choices. However, I lose patience with writers of films and/or TV productions, when they make characters do stupid things to further the course of the plot. To me, that is just lazy. I gave up, when Sara, after being told to "stay put" by Isaac. Decides to put herself and him, in danger by disregarding his instructions. Why? Because according to her, she doesn't trust him. Sooo.. let's see, a guy goes out of his way to save you and your child, and helps you survive. You decide that you don't trust him, cause the plot needs an action packed, and bloody scene where people die. I think the plot of this series is basically not very good, and has been done before. The acting is good, and some of the characters are very interesting, except for Sara who I found particularly annoying. She has to be, because if she wasn't so driven.. there wouldn't have been a plot. I'm glad I passed on the rest of the series.
