Solved! New ASUS laptop won't let me proceed with initial setup

This is very vexing. I recently acquired a new ASUS laptop, and it refuses to proceed once it reaches the screen that asks for a phone number to link to an Android phone. I have no intention of linking the laptop to an Android phone. The Do it Later button does nothing, and the Next button does nothing. What should I do? Thank you!
