Solved! New laptop battery works for minute then dies

I replaced the battery in my lenovo y50, but it didn't work properly. It works for a minute then dies (at ~99% battery). My old battery works fine in the laptop still. I also tried reinstalling both battery drivers. Any ideas?

The new battery, is it OEM or aftermarket? Sounds a lot like it is aftermarket. The $ you save buying one of those isn't worth it. If it is aftermarket I would suggest returning the battery and getting your money back so you can purchase an OEM one. This would likely resolve the problem.
