Hi Folks,

Looking to replace my current Toshiba X875-Q7190 laptop, I am moving to the UK so I will be buying my new one there. So UK available laptops only please, not really interested in shipping it in from the US.

1. What is your budget? £750 - £900 (British pounds)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15.6" - 17.3"

3. What screen resolution do you want? At least 1080p

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Not really portable will spend most of the time in the house using the power cord.

5. How much battery life do you need? Not bothered about battery life.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Ideally I want o be able to play most games, I have games like Watchdogs, NBA 2K15, FIFA, Modern Warefare, Farcry 4, etc. Medium to high settings would be best but I'll take what I can get.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Maybe a little photo editing, and standard web surfing and office product use. POssibly some of my AutoCAD design work will be done on it, but probably not.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 750GB-1TB or more.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. I like the look of these one, not sure what people think?

I also liked the look of this one, http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00P17KCSW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=333J5L49CO2EQ&coliid=I2MD7ZE5CZDNVY&psc=1 but I can't tell if it's the IPS screen one or not, the seller seems to think it's not which makes it less appealing.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 1yr or so probably.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? Not worried I can upgrade at a later date if need be.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. No preference, but I like to design of Asus.

13. What country do you live in? England.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. Want to make sure I don't get overheating issues, got a lot of that with my previous laptop when gaming.

Thanks I agree, that's why I liked the Lenovo, the problem is I've read some reviews on Lenovo Laptop and let's just say they don't sound great!

I've not found bad reviews for this laptop in particular, but for lenovo laptops in general. Mainly regarding poor build quality.

Another concern I have with the Lenovo is the lack of dual hard drive capacity, I do like a primary ssd and secondary sata setup usually. But I guess if my budget won't get me that then I'll have make do.

I'm hoping someone knows of a similar / better version of the lenovo in my price range, I know, I'm asking a lot as the lenovo seems like a relatively good deal.

That lenovo has a SSHD hybrid drive, so it's somewhere between a HDD and SSD for speed. You could also remove the disc drive and mount an SSD in there, but you would be relying on an external disc drive for dvds in future if you did this.

I'm skimming through a couple sites for you but it's made more difficult by the fact that every manufacturer has a different name for dual hard drive bays...

Lenovo - ultrabay
HP - Multibay
Dell - Media bay
Asus ???
