I have an Acer Aspire 7720-6155 and when I try to type a message the curser jumps out the area I am typing and hops to some other spot in the message which forces me to bring it back where I was on the message.

Is this due to the built-in "mousepad" and if so, how can I disconnect it?

I am using a separate Logitech Mouse with the unit.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can disable the touchpad in Control Panel.

Regarding my E Mail address do you know of any way I can remove it?

Try holding down the fn key and the f7 key at the same time.

Gordy, I looked at your manual and fn and f7 was what is said. the fn key is normaly blue and most times found on the bottom left of the keyboard.

Thanks much. You are are totally correct! I did find the Fn key on the bottom left area of my keyboard. I guess I should get a little more familiar with my keyboard.

If possible can you let me know the page number you found that info on in my manual?
