Nextbook Ares 8a

I recently got a Nextbook Ares 8a and it is very slow and says the apps arent responding. My sister has one and has no problems. Please help

Try restarting it.

If that doesn't do it, try starting it up in "Safe Mode". It will limit what you can do while in that mode, many apps won't work. However if it runs just fine in there, no slowness, then you have a bad app, virus or malware on the device which you will need to remove before it will run normally again. Then, to get out of "Safe Mode" once you are done, just restart.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.
