Nikon Coolpix S6500 error message

have a Nikon Coolpix S6500 that suddenly gave me the error message "out of memory" while I was recording a video. I have read something similar to this happening with other models & the response was to try reformatting the memory card. How do you do that?

Menu button
menu icon
Format memory/Format card
OK

Whatever is on the card WILL be erased, so be sure to copy everything off it first.
