Nikon or sony

Going to buy a 70-200 F2.8 lens and I have two cameras to choose from. Which camera would you choose to buy the lens for nikon D40x or Sony A6000? So confused, please help me make a expensive decision.. Going to be using it for indoor volleyball

I was a journalism major at college and I got a A in photography. You want to use a 70-200 F2.8 lens nikon D40x or Sony A6000 for volleyball games. My solution is do not use those cameras or lens. I have a better solution for you. I recommend the Olympus PEN E-PL3 14-42mm 12.3 MP Mirrorless Digital Camera with CMOS Sensor and 3x Optical Zoom. It also has a similar lens you can buy for it and they are sold for a fair price. The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens has a max length of 82mm.
