no audio to my receiver

I have a receiver in my living room to control my different attachments, but do not know where to plug the electric line to the computer

If you want the audio from the computer to come through the stereo then you would connect the headphone or green audio jack to any line level input on the receiver (not phono). You will need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo mini plug at the computer end and two RCA plugs at the stereo end. Pretty common cable or you can use an adapter at one end. Set the computer for stereo 2.0 output in the audio control panel.
