No Kindle? No problem: 5 places to buy DRM-free e-books

"When that happens you will get the unpleasant reminder that Amazon's Kindle e-books all have DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection on them..."

This is not actually true. Many books are sold - at the author/publisher's request - to be sold without DRM. I assume that the author wants the purchaser to actually have true ownership of the book...but you still cannot download nor open it with a .mobi or .epub reader.

It would be nice if I could easily migrate my NON-DRM azw/azw3 files to .epub
