No optical output on tv

I am considering purchasing a 55" Samsung TV w/o optical output. I have Directv and want to know if we can connect a Soundbar to this tv. If so, what do we need to do?

you can connect the direct tv directly to the soundbar with the optical.

you would need to provide the model number to this awesome TV (bet you're preparing for the big game huh?)
