Solved! No sound on tv

When I hook up my laptop to my Vizio tv via hdmi, the sound on the tv doesn't work for some reason. However, when I hook it up to another Vizio tv in my bedroom it works fine. Any ideas? The tv in the bedroom is older if that matters.....

When you connect to your main TV check that the HDMI is selected as your audio device.
