No wireless networks???

I have a new Toshiba satellite and I cannot connect to the wireless network.
The wifi is turned on and the airplane mode is off. It tells me there are no available networks when I know via my Iphone the router is sending an excellent signal.

check you system user manual there could be a switch ot a conmbination of function keys to activate the wifi system and the antenna receiver ,sender .
