noob help how internet works on smartphone

I want to know how internet works on smartphones. Do I have to get some internet service for my phone like pcs and what are the charges i am completely noob, i have never used a smartphone.

You should be able to use wifi for internet too, but talk to your mobile provider

ok at home i will use my wifi but how can i use internet when i am not at home

if business offer free wifi then you can use that else you will need to pay for service.
