Good day,

Toms Guide has the review below regarding Android device security.

The best Android antivirus apps in 2025: https://www.tomsguide.com/best-picks/best-android-antivirus

The guide has Norton 360 listed at #3 (Best features) and looking at the more details review on Norton 360 it states Minimum Android support: 8.0 Oreo.

We have 3 Mobile phones which are Android 8 or 9 devices.

Although this review was updated just a few days ago, when I try to re-load my paid for Norton 360 (which I use on PC's, laptops and mobile devices, I am being told by Norton that Norton 360 is not compatible with my mobile device and checking on Norton website it says Android 8 and 9 are not supported. This suggests that I need to replace 4 or 5 mobile phones to Android 10 or above mobiles and probably means that although I have used Norton Antivirus/Internet Security/360 since 2003 (more than 20 years), I will now have to look elsewhere.

Is the information on the Toms Guide review wrong or should I look for a different package that is compatible with Android 8 & 9 phones.

Regards

Good day,

The Toms Guide review was updated only a few days ago, maybe the update did not include all details and maybe another update is now required.

The actual product review may have been some time ago. That doesn't necessarily coincide with the publication of the updated article.

Folks will be notified of this situation. Thank you.
