Not booting up

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 and it all of a sudden won't boot up. I have removed the battery multiple times and taken out power cord. Tried to boot up without battery in and held down the start button after removing battery and power cord and putting back together again, Any further ideas on solutions anyone?

Does it do anything when you try to start? Make noise, lights come on, etc.
Do you see anything on the screen?
Have you tried plugging in an external monitor to see if that shows anything?
