Not switching off always showing shutting down

Acer aspire laptop is not switching off it is always showing 'shutting down'

may be damaged file or anti virus. try uninstaling the anti virus see if it shuts down ok. if not it may be time to back up your files and do a clean factory restall to put a clean windows image back on to the laptop.
