number discrepencies from mci phone number verirication

why does my phone number show up as a number that is different then what it really is it says the number is [# removed] when my actual number is [# removed] ---- when i try to find this number it says it is no longer in service so why does this happen i have a friend whos number says the same thing so is my number being recorded or forwarded to someone or something

contact your mobile service provider. Also removed your phone#, don't post it on the forum
