can nividia GeForce 740 be installed fairly easy on an hp envy that came with an intel 4600 graphics card. Would like to upgrade for games.

May we know the complete model of your hp envy laptop? Just want to let you know as well that not all laptop GPU can be upgraded since some have GPU's which are soldered to the motherboard.

740m only comes soldered on mobo and with laptop mobos being proprietary, unless you find the same model did come with the option, you'd end up needing a new laptop.
